20 snaps from morning walks in the autumn colours of Queenstown

long weekend queenstown things to do guide autumn

We visited the charming city of Queenstown in autumn of 2025. The city is more of a ‘town’, such is the quaint nature and small size. From the moment we opened our curtains in the morning to views of mountains we knew we would enjoy Queenstown.

While we chose to spend most of our time in the surrounding regions (think Wanaka, Otago wineries, Arrowtown, hikes etc), the time we spent in Queenstown was highly enjoyable. This little gallery canvases our morning walk through Queenstown where we grabbed a coffee from the highly recommended Life’s a Grind Espresso coffee truck, and walked down to the gorgeous Queenstown Gardens.

The harbour, lake, and promenade and so photogenic.. make sure to bring your camera, phone or use your ‘eye cameras’ to soak up the scene. We visited during autumn, adding an extra pop of incredible colour. Enjoy the gallery below and check out a few of our guides from our visit to the Queenstown region!
