Elwood is a charming little suburb located on the fringes of Melbourne, and is a pocket we just love to visit. The main street is lined with cute cafe’s, and the expansive waterfront promenade is definitely the highlight. After previously living close-by, this beachside walk has become a regular attraction for walks and runs. Additionally, the beach in Elwood is calm, and often has less people than the busier St Kilda. The end of the Elwood promenade is a point called ‘Point Ormond’, boasting great views of the city skyline helping it become a popular spot to watch the sunset.
While we have visited many times, we haven’t had the chance to shoot any drone footage here before. Last month we visited on a warm spring night for dinner after work, taking the opportunity to capture some beautiful sunset colours with the promenade and city skyline.
